Several weeks ago, Roman Reigns was forced to relinquish the WWE Universal Title. Reigns was diagnosed with leukemia and will need to take a leave of absence from his duties inside the squared circle to focus on his health. Reigns has dealt with the disease before, as he beat it into remission 11 years ago. However, now it has returned and he must battle it once again.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that “The Big Dog” recently began treatment for his leukemia diagnosis. He also addressed speculation in regards to Reigns’ return. Many have begun to discuss when Reigns might return to WWE, as he is currently advertised to appear at the ACE Comic Con in Phoenix, Arizona from January 11th to 13th.
Meltzer said that any discussions in reference to Reigns’ WWE return are “a long way off.” Until he settles his medical concerns, Reigns likely won’t be with WWE for quite some time.
