New Japan Pro Wrestling is looking to make big offers to several top WWE stars

Expect some big moves to happen in the free agency market in early 2019. New Japan Pro Wrestling are expected to lose some top stars in the free agency. WWE is rumored to be gearing up to spend some major cash. Especially after their new broadcast deals and the money they’re making from their shows in Saudi Arabia. Current Ring Of Honor and NJPW stars such as Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll and Adam “Hangman” Page are rumored to be moving all together.

However, NJPW is looking to snag up some of WWE’s own stars as well. During Thursday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that some offers have already been made to WWE stars:

“There were some offers that have been made to some guys in WWE that surprised me in the sense of how much they could make outside of WWE. One person who is there got an offer for ridiculous money for way less dates and it very much surprised me. This would be one of the top guys in WWE. New Japan is weird but they are willing to pay real big money like they did with [Chris] Jericho.”

While it’s not known which stars exactly NJPW made offers to, it has been noted that they’re interested in stars such as Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
