Over the weekend, former Ring Of Honor (ROH) Television Champion Punishment Martinez made his NXT debut. Martinez took part in a live event in Fort Pierce, Florida, a quick turnaround from his last ROH appearance. Only a month ago Martinez lost the ROH Television Title to Jeff Cobb. That match only aired on television two weeks ago.
The 36-year-old was one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling when signed by WWE. He could be a big part of NXT’s plans moving forward. Many are expecting Martinez to be at NXT TakeOver: War Games during Survivor Series weekend in Las Angeles on November 17th.
Should Martinez make a name for himself on NXT, he could land himself on a decent spot in the NXT TakeOver: New York card, which will go down in New York this upcoming April as a part of WrestleMania 35 week. Below is a photo from Martinez’s NXT debut this past weekend:
