It looks like WWE has plans to push a young Raw star moving forward. WrestlingNewsCo is reporting that announcers were told to put over Crews’ win over Jinder Mahal, a former WWE Champion, on Monday. Upon Crews splitting from Titus O’Neil and disbanding Titus Worldwide, it was believed the pair would be feuding with one another, with Crews emerging as the star. Those plans no longer seem to be in play, but Crews is getting his push as a singles competitor.
Some people in management see potential in Crews, and the decision was made to give him a push on Raw. Crews was also referred to by Raw announcers as the “human highlight reel.” So expect to hear this phrase associated with Crews a lot more moving forward. WWE.com also used the “human highlight reel” catchphrase in their Raw recap, in an article that put over Crews’ athleticism and recent success inside the ring.
This is all in a directive from Vince McMahon, who will hopefully give Crews a slow and steady push in hopes of creating another top WWE star.
