At WWE Crown Jewel earlier this year, Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels returned to the ring. He teamed up with Triple H to defeat The Brothers of Destruction, The Undertaker and Kane. However, after the match, Michaels has hinted that his match at Crown Jewel was likely a one-off thing. With that being said, Michaels is still very active within the WWE in a backstage role. He is a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, where he is helping mold young talent.
He also produces matches for NXT events as well. Recently, Michaels joined the “E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness” podcast to discuss his role with NXT. During the show, Michaels revealed that he also actually writes NXT TV:
“To [Triple H] and I, clearly, [NXT] is his baby, but I mean, I’m all in. Yeah, they’ve got me hook, line, and sinker. And it’s funny because he kind of hired me like, ‘just stick your big toe in and see how you like it. Just do a couple of times a week.’
“And then, of course, whatever it is, two years later, I’m full scale helping to write TVs and doing it all!” Michaels said. “I’m so far in, there’s no way I’m getting out and I have no desire to get out because it’s a blast. It really is.”
