WWE Hall Of Famer says Drew McIntyre will be World Champion next year

Since returning to WWE last year, Drew McIntyre has been really impressive. The former Intercontinental Champion was released from his WWE contract back in 2014. However, after spending several years reinventing himself both physically and from a character perspective, WWE brought McIntyre back into the fold in 2017.

He was sent to WWE’s new developmental territory, NXT, where he won the brand’s World Title. Upon being called up to the main roster, McIntyre was paired up with Dolph Ziggler. The pair currently work together on Raw, however, it’s believed McIntyre is in line for a big singles push soon.

WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry offered his thoughts on the Scotsman during a recent episode of “Busted Open Radio.” Henry actually predicts McIntyre will be a WWE World Champion next year:

“Ever since Drew came back and we stuck him with the grown ass man Drew McIntyre moniker, he has been stellar. His promos are priceless and he is unrivaled.

“Drew is grabbing the business and he’s doing things that a lot of the young people are not doing and that’s why he’s in this conversation that we’re talking about, as where he’s gonna be in the next year or two.

“I think that he will be champion. I think before next year is over, Drew McIntyre will be world champion.”
