At WWE Crown Jewel, Brock Lesnar recaptured the Universal Championship. Roman Reigns was forced to relinquish the strap himself after being diagnosed with leukemia. Lesnar defeated Braun Strowman for the vacant title in Saudi Arabia. “The Beast” reportedly signed a new WWE deal that will keep him with the company through WrestleMania 35.
For now, two matches are known for Lesnar moving forward. He will work AJ Styles at Survivor Series, and will likely face Strowman at either the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania. Dave Meltzer reports that Lesnar could also be working with some more Superstars coming up.
WWE reportedly has a significant angle moving forward with Lesnar’s storyline. While it’s not confirmed who he’ll be working with, there are a few hints out there. Seth Rollins recently cut a promo calling Lesnar’s Universal Title win a slap in the face to the locker room. Meltzer also mentioned that WWE clearly has Drew McIntyre being groomed for “a top run.”
