WWE pulls Jerry “The King” Lawler from pre-shows

Well, it looks like we know the fate of Jerry “The King” Lawler on WWE Network programming. Lawler is now off all of the pre-shows going forward. He still has a Legends deal with the company so he could pop up on WWE Network specials or as part of the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony but he is, for the most part, not going to be featured on weekly WWE programming any longer.

Lawler has been on weekly WWE programming since he joined the company in 1993. This year he was a color commentator on Smackdown Live until he was moved off the show when the did the draft back in July.

For those of you wondering, Charly Caruso and Booker T are the hosts of the Raw pre-show every Monday night and a guest host will join the panel before pay-per-views. Lawler was not on the panel for the TLC pay-per-view. This looks to be part of Vince McMahon’s youth movement. It’s the same reason why Jim Ross is not on WWE TV.
