There’s no doubt that Becky Lynch has seen a huge rise in popularity since the beginning of her feud with Charlotte Flair. Lynch turned heel after losing her SmackDown Live Women’s Title match to “The Queen” at SummerSlam. She’d eventually win the strap from Flair at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view.
Lynch then successfully retained the title at Evolution in a Last Woman Standing match. It was by far the best match of the night. Now, “The Irish Lasskicker” has been one of the company’s hottest stars. In fact, she has even received comparisons to that of WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin and former WWE Champion CM Punk.
Speaking on the “Gorilla Position” podcast recently, Lynch reacted to such comparisons:
“That’s cool and quite an honor. Arguably the greatest superstars that we have ever had. Unbelievable. I have picked Stone Colds brain and he has been very good with giving advice.
“He was real, and that is what him so good. Most people can relate to this Becky Lynch character because I have absolutely no natural talent but I am a really hard worker.”
