A big change is reportedly coming Monday Night Raw’s way. Since the ’90s, Raw has been given a lot of leeway in going slightly over their scheduled 11:00 P.M. ET finish time. This allowed for some matches and segments to run long during the show. This was extremely useful during the Monday Night Wars with WCW.
Now, however, it looks like that privilege will no longer be accommodated to WWE. Fightful reports that WWE will no have a “hard” out time of 11:00 P.M. ET from now on. This will be similar to the situation with SmackDown Live, who goes off air strictly at 10:00 P.M. ET.
The change is set to take effect as early as next week’s episode of Raw on Monday. This is also reportedly a directive coming from the USA Network. RAW will remain on the USA Network for the next few years, while SmackDown Live is FOX-bound after signing a billion-dollar broadcast deal.
