Former WWE Champion Chris Jericho has offered his thoughts on the punch from Nia Jax that put Becky Lynch out of Survivor Series. On Monday Night Raw this week, Nia Jax punched Lynch square in the face during a brawl segment, breaking her nose and causing her to bleed profusely. It was later determined that Lynch’s injuries were too severe for her to be allowed to compete at Survivor Series this weekend.
Lynch was to face Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at the event. It was the most anticipated match on the card before being called off. Now, Charlotte Flair has been selected to step in and face Rousey in Lynch’s place. Recently, Jericho took to his podcast, “Talk Is Jericho” to offer his thoughts.
Jericho said that the punch looked “legitimate” and “deliberate,” but avoided passing judgment on the issue for now:
“If you see the punch she took, oh my gosh, it didn’t look like a potato. It looked like a legitimate deliberate punch to the face. But, whatever, we’ll hold off on judgment for that.”
