Dave Lagana, who some of you may be familiar with from his days as on the creative team with WWE, has left TNA. He was with the company for 5 years as Senior Director of Creative Writing.
Lagana wrote, “Today I made the decision to leave TNA Impact Wrestling. A decision I do not make lightly but one I made to create a future that I control. In 2017, you need to look forward to 2020 and beyond. My focus now is on personal branding, technology and the wild west of storytelling available to all content creators today.”
He took the time to thank many names in the industry that he’s worked with and he also thanked the people in production and the talent. If you’ve noticed that the creative in TNA had gotten better in the past year then you could point to Lagana as the reason why.
It’s not clear if Lagana was forced out of he knew the writing was on the wall because the feeling in TNA is that Anthem Sports was going to bring in their own people to work behind the scenes and, at the very least, Lagana would have had to work with their hired writers.
