Matt Hardy offers to buy TNA Wrestling

Could “Broken” Matt Hardy end up being the new owner of TNA Wrestling? Based on his twitter feed, he seems to be interested in buying the company. Hardy said that he would like the purchase the company if the owners would be willing to sell to him. TNA’s situation is complicated because Dixie Carter is the majority shareholder but Billy Corgan, Aroluxe Marketing and The Fight Network have minority shares in the company.

Corgan has said publicly that there are a lot of hurdles to jump through. He is likely talking about the different entities that have ownership and the company debt. Right now it doesn’t look like a sale is imminent because they were able to buy time by taping shows for the remainder of the year.

TNA will be taping an entire episode of Impact Wrestling soon at Matt Hardy’s compound. That episode is scheduled to air in mid-December and will feature the entire Impact Wrestling roster and Matt has challenged any legendary tag team to show up. The Final Deletion and Delete Or Decay segments were largely written and produced by The Hardys and Jeremy Borash so we’ve seen what they can do. It would be interesting to see what Hardy could do if he became the owner of the company.
