WWE has big WrestleMania 35 plans for Shane McMahon

WWE has some big plans in store for SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 35. Initially, WWE was planning for McMahon to feud with Daniel Bryan heading into “The Show Of Shows.” However, WWE opted to go a different route after having Bryan beat AJ Styles for the WWE Title, turning heel in the process. McMahon is in the midst of a heel turn himself.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a big part of this turn will have to do with McMahon’s World Cup win at Crown Jewel, as well as SmackDown Live losing all their matches at Survivor Series. The big character change for McMahon is supposed to commence in the first quarter of 2019, leading to a big WrestleMania 35 match.

It remains unclear what exactly that match will be, however, it should be noted that McMahon started an interesting angle with The Miz on SmackDown Live this week. Perhaps WWE could be going in that direction.
